People want to have a COMFORTABLE LIFE.
The government wants to continue a path of ECONOMIC GROWTH.
With no natural resources, and only human resources, the only way to continue GROWTH is through INNOVATION.
INNOVATION only comes through one thing: COMPETITION.
COMPETITION with others for jobs, within jobs, and internationally.
You can try to escape it, but it will come.
THe logic of CAPITALISM is spreading throughout the world.
Without the continuing accumulation of CAPITAL, we are all gone.
Don't think you can just sit there and enjoy.
